The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For something this new, the breadth is broad.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition once it is live.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the thing this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
This is the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
